Machine control and acquisition software for FFDM
Control and PC-based operator software for full-field digital mammography systems — covering generator and detector control, motorised compression, automatic exposure control, flat-field calibration and DICOM connectivity for screening and diagnostic workflows.
Acquisition & exposure
- Manual and Automatic Exposure Control (AEC) modes
- AEC optimises dose from detector feedback and compressed breast thickness
- Synchronised exposure triggering with parameter logging and dose reporting
- Constant-potential high frequency generator control: 23–35 kV, 5–600 mAs, 0.1–5 s
Detector control
- Amorphous silicon TFT flat panel, indirect conversion with CsI scintillator
- 83 µm pixel pitch, 2816 × 3584 matrix, 232 × 297 mm active area
- Detector temperature monitoring, with acquisition inhibited outside range
- Warm-up state reported to the operator before imaging is permitted
Compression & positioning
- Motorised compression with three-speed fine adjustment
- Adjustable force limit 5–15 kg, maximum 20 kg, with real-time force display
- Breast thickness readout and over-compression indication
- Automatic and manual release after exposure, plus quick safety release
- Motorised C-arm rotation −45° to +45° for CC, MLO and specialised views
Calibration & image quality
- Guided flat-field calibration: gain, offset and defect map
- Pass/fail status reported, with imaging blocked on calibration failure
- Image processing with noise suppression and edge enhancement
- Immediate on-console review against acceptance criteria before the patient leaves
- Repeat and reject handling with view re-labelling for QA audit
Workflow & DICOM
- DICOM Modality Worklist retrieval for patient and study data
- DICOM Storage, MPPS and Storage Commitment to PACS
- Integration with hospital PACS, RIS and DICOM printers
- Standard view labelling: RCC, LCC, RMLO, LMLO
- Secure login with role-based access to patient data and settings
